Maslawe

MasLawe is a name that has become even more familiar than my real one. At first, I was unsure about returning to the world of plants. I had given up my hobby of caring for them, a passion I had nurtured since 2006–2007, to move into the automotive world. Riding a Vespa in my free time became my new hobby.

Hello, my name is Faisol, from Central Java, Indonesia. My background is in architecture, and I am the founder of a home sales company. But the pandemic changed everything—including the way I spent my free time.

Eventually, I fell in love with plants again and devoted myself to caring for the Monstera and Philodendron families. Yet, after remembering my beginnings back in 2006–2007, I realized that growing Anthuriums is my true passion. It’s never too late, so in 2022 I started learning how to care for them and studying the right formulas for their growth.

I believe that Anthuriums have a thousand faces, because each seed produces something unique and different from its siblings. I am convinced that variegated Anthuriums represent the future of this plant.

My love for variegated Anthuriums began with Black Venom in 2022, and since then I have been focused on breeding them. I am confident I will discover something unique in their offspring.

Caring for Anthuriums is not easy. Limited space and high costs are the main challenges. The city where I live lies in a lowland area, so I need to use temperature and humidity control systems to create the conditions these plants require.

After many discussions and finding common ground with Margaux, the founder of Young Botanist, I became increasingly convinced that by reaching the global market, there would be no limits to my growth. At the same time, I realized that caring for plants is more than just a hobby, it is a lifestyle and a powerful way to relieve stress.

So, let’s grow together!
