OurPlantStory.SG

OurPlantStory.SG was founded on a clear belief: exceptional plant genetics deserve more than preservation. They deserve purpose.

The project began in Singapore under its previous founder, Eric, as a response to the scarcity of true breeding material and the limitations of import cycles. Rather than chasing volume or trends, he curated lineages from some of the most respected breeders worldwide. Each specimen was chosen not only for its visual quality, but for its ability to contribute to something enduring.

During this time, Piero was developing a separate body of work in Anthurium, focusing on structure, stress tolerance, and expression through experimental growing. Although the two approaches differed in pace and intent, Eric’s breeding philosophy left a lasting impression. His discipline, traceability, and commitment to long-term breeding created a framework that resonated deeply. What began as distant respect grew into a shared conviction: strong lines must be developed through patience and purpose, not convenience

In 2025, stewardship of OurPlantStory.SG transitioned to Piero. The foundation laid by Eric remained intact, while the scope expanded. What began as distinct styles, enhancement and experimentation, merged into a breeding archive shaped by high standards, deliberate pairings, and long-term selection. Today, the project remains focused on building hybrids that speak for themselves. Each plant is evaluated not only for form, but for consistency, longevity, and genetic depth. Success is not measured by trend or speed, but by what endures across time and generations. This is what defines OurPlantStory.SG hybrids. They do not enter circulation as untested outcomes or early trials. Each release is the result of sustained observation, careful selection, and lineage that is traceable and proven. Most of the work takes place offstage, not to obscure, but because meaningful results take time. Every line is given the attention and duration it needs before it is considered ready to be shared.
